Mary Bamford RD

Mary Bamford is a Registered Dietitian.  What that means to you as a client is that you can ask Mary to "Prove it!" whenever she gives you recommendations or advice.

A Registered Dietitian is a regulated health professional.  Mary is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada. 

Mary's education includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Home Economics (Clinicial Nutrition) from the University of Western Ontario.
  • Dietetic Internship at University of Alberta Hospitals. 
  • Master's Degree in Business from McMaster University
  • Certified Smoking Cessation Counsellor accredited by the Univesity of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and The Centre for Addition and Mental Health (CAMH).

Mary's current work includes:

  • Individual consulting at Adelaide Health Clinic, downtown Toronto.
  • Individual consulting at Sports Medicine Specialists, midtown Toronto.
  • Group Leader of nutrition seminars and cooking classes at Wellspring community-based cancer support centres.
  • Leader of Corporate Nutrition Seminars in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Volunteer media spokesperson with Dietitians of Canada

Mary's past work experience includes:

  • Dietitian at McMaster University Medical Centres in several clinical areas including cardiac intensive care, neonatal intensive care and childhood obesity.
  • Dietitian at Camp Huronda, Canadian Diabetes Association summer camp for children with diabetes.
  • Instructor and Niagara College's culinary school of nutrition and cooking classes.
